Wellesley (14-4, 8-1 NEWMAC) jumped four spots in the latest installment of the NEWVA Regional Poll into the No. 6 slot. Johnson & Wales (R.I.) continued to their stranglehold on the top position by receiving all eight first-place votes.
Johnson & Wales (R.I.), the 16th-ranked team in NCAA Division III according to the AVCA, tops the third NEWVA Regional Poll for the second straight week. JWU (19-0, 8-0 GNAC) received all six first place votes from head coaches representing women's volleyball conferences around New England.
The last remaining unbeaten team in New England, Johnson & Wales (R.I.) at 16-0 (5-0 GNAC), took over the top spot in the second New England Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (NEWVA) Regional Poll.
At the near midway point of the 2017 regular season, MIT (15-0, 4-0 NEWMAC) claims top position in the first release of the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA) regional poll. BEVERLY, Mass. – November 2, 2015 — Dominant performances by MCLA's Allison Clark and Connecticut College's Ella Johnson closed out the 2015 regular season as New England schools gear up for conference play this week.
The seventh NEWVA Regional Poll welcomed Tufts back into the top-five after the Jumbos leapt over fellow NESCAC member Williams, but the big mover was Babson (10th to 7th) as the Beavers took down #23 MIT, Tufts, and Williams in a 3-1 week.
The sixth NEWVA Regional Poll saw a small shakeup in the top five as Bowdoin crept into the #4 position, bumping Williams down to #5, and knocking Tufts into sixth place. With Babson surpassing Roger Williams into the top-10, the NEWMAC and NESCAC own every single top-10 slot.
The NEWMAC owns the top two spots in the fifth NEWVA Regional Poll as MIT leads the pack with six first place votes followed by Springfield. The NESCAC controls six of the following seven places on the top-15 New England ranking.
